Hepatitis Camp held at Chilya with VFAHT

On Aug 15, VFAHT -JSMU took a meaningful step with SHINE Humanity towards health equity by hosting a hepatitis awareness campaign in Chilya (Thatta) - 116km from Karachi. In a region where basic health facilities are scarce, they encountered a significant lack of awareness about hepatitis, along with the stigma surrounding screening and vaccination.

VFAHT’s dedicated team reached out to the community and educated more than 100 locals about the importance of hepatitis awareness. They screened and vaccinated more than 30 people, opening doors to health that many didn't even know they needed.

It's crucial to serve areas like Chilya, where health resources are limited, and misinformation thrives. By creating awareness, we empower individuals to take charge of their health and break the stigma that often keeps them from seeking help.
