Dr. Faisal A Khan is Assistant Professor of Surgery at LLU School of Medicine. He is also Chief of Surgery at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Dr Khan has served as the Director of Surgery for the Peruvian American Medical Society Mission to Ayacucho, and heads out with his dedicated team annually to bring healthcare to remote areas of Peru. Dr Khan received his medical degree from the USC Keck School of Medicine and specializes in pediatric and general surgery.

Asim Ashary is founder and CEO of Manhattan Data, Inc. (MDI), a healthcare administration company based in Irvine, California. Prior to MDI, Mr. Ashary co-founded ppoNEXT, Inc. He is a senior healthcare executive with two decades of experience in business operations, claims administrations, marketing, finance and MIS operations. Ashary has held senior executive positions with BPS Healthcare, Orange Coast Managed Care, Equicore Health Plans, Cigna Health Plans and Maxicare Health Plans. Dr. Naqvi is a leader in the field of Pulmonology with more than 25 years of experience. He served as the Chief of Staff at Kindred Hospital in Westminster, California, from 2006 to 2010, and currently, he is serving as the Chairman of Pulmonary Division at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California. He served on the board of Relief International from 2004 to 2010. He was awarded the Robert McCaffree, MD, Master FCCP Humanitarian Award from the American College of Chest Physicians in 2010 and the same year, was awarded the Humanitarian of the Year award from Canada-Pakistan Business Council Toronto, Canada. In 2015, he was awarded a humanitarian award by All Pakistani Physicians of North America (APPNA) California and in January 2017 Extraordinary Impact Award by Access California Services. In October 2005, he played an instrumental part of earthquake relief efforts in Pakistan by helping to set up emergency medical facilities and earthquake-proof houses. Dr. Anne Walker is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who has a lifelong passion for global health. In medical school she spent eight months in Ghana, West Africa with six other medical students chosen from across the United States to participate in the first American Medical Student Association International Health Fellowship. The program was designed to spawn an interest in the complexities of healthcare delivery in the developing world. Over the years she has volunteered with SHINE on humanitarian missions to Peru, Haiti, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. She currently is enrolled in a Global Community Health Master’s program at Johns Hopkins with plans to ultimately devote herself full time in humanitarian work.

Pakistan Board

A graduate from UT, Austin; Ali Naqvi has established his name as a leading Architect in Pakistan. After founding his own firm under the name of Ali Arshad Associates, he has developed long lasting relationships with clients and consultants. Having an empathetic nature, Mr Naqvi has been drawn towards the cause of SHINE Humanity Pakistan to make lasting difference to the plight of the disenfranchised population of Pakistan. His presence on the Board ensures strict transparency and accountability of the organization and proper management of its resources to genuinely distressed localities.

Mr. Ibrahim Shamsi is the MD of AA Joyland (Pvt.) Ltd. He is an MBA from LUMS. He has strong experience of modern management and effective control management.

Mr Ibrahim Shamsi is successfully running and expanding the business unit under AA Joyland (Pvt.) Ltd including Pavilion End Club, Aladin Amusement park, Bounce, Super Space, Battle Station, Xd Adventure for the past 20 years

Sadia started a career in Communications, after a brief stint in media, that now spans 15 years. During this time, she has worked on the corporate image of some of the biggest multinational companies in the country directly – Mobilink, Nestle, Unilever and, until most recently, K-Electric. During her versatile and multi-sectoral career, she has also launched and driven various Sustainable Community Development Projects that contribute to the bottom line while building brand love.
Aman Kherati has been part of the SHINE family since 2013. He holds an MBA degree & prior to joining SHINE board, had been associated with IAHV providing relief to the flood affected victims, with TCF and with Aman Foundation as a volunteer. He has been part of different corporate organizations at senior levels such as K-Electric, Ufone, PTCL, Wateen, DHL etc in Pakistan.

He has been an ardent supporter of helping and promoting the under privileged and their causes at all levels and believes that together we can make Pakistan a great place.
Zahid Garib joined the family business Garibsons Pvt Ltd in 1983 as a director. He has been an integral part of Garibsons success who are the largest rice exporters of Pakistan. Along with that he has set up a very successful wood working plant in Gharo. He has recently joined hands with Shine Humanity for his philanthropic work, with a goal of expanding their reach further into rural Sindh and work on projects that would benefit Pakistan as a whole.
Nighat Navaid is an educationist. She has over three decades of experience in teaching, planning, implementation, management and evaluation in the Education Industry. She has been associated with Beaconhouse School System for 26 years as a Head Mistress and subsequently she held the position of Principal of DHA Early Learning Centre for more than two years. She has travelled extensively and brings with her a rich experience of working with people from different cultures and diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
Recognized at the Presidency (Pakistan), Houses of Parliament (UK), and awarded at the UN HQ (Vienna) as a policy maker; Omair is a social entrepreneur, organizational development specialist, and capacity builder with almost 15 years of experience leading, prioritizing and executing on multi-million-dollar global strategic initiatives across USA, South Asia, Philippines, and the UK in the development (7+ years) and corporate/financial services sector (7+ years).

Omair believes in assessing, realizing, channeling, and implementing objectives of those who choose to strive and further the rights of the disenfranchised through: foundations, educational institutions, start-ups, and social enterprises focusing on infrastructure, financial inclusion disability, nutrition, health, education, environment, and youth engagement.

Faheem Khan

Chief Operating Officer

Faheem Khan has engaged in multiple endeavors through the 15 years of his professional career. Faheem has helped Habib University by creating a world-class Wellness Program for its students which encompasses a holistic approach to learning and being healthy. Most recently Faheem has worked for NOWPDP, which is an NGO helping People with Disabilities in Pakistan.

Iman Zamir

Iman Zamir has done her undergrad degree in Social Sciences from the IBA with a 3.8 GPA. For her thesis, she looked at the impacts of the gang war on identity and every day dynamics in Lyari today. She is an avid reader and also writes her own blogs online.

Aiesha Qureshi

Aiesha has an undergraduate degree in Social Sciences and liberal arts with a 3.5 GPA; and specializes in research, content creation and digital marketing. She enjoys theatre and reading in her free time and is a huge history buff.

Zaheer has been with SHINE Humanity since 2013. He has held various positions with SHINE and is currently project manager at our Gharo clinic.
